I’m a reader and teacher of The URANTIA Book, and my public name is Van / Gabriel of Urantia. I had already studied and taught scripture of the Old and New Testaments in the Bible before finding The URANTIA Book. I have also been used as a vessel to bring through the continuation of The URANTIA Book, found in The Cosmic Family volumes. I consider as valid and sacred scripture:
- The Bible, given by humans, which goes back possibly 6,000 years.
- The URANTIA Book (referred to as the Fifth Epochal Revelation) and given by celestial personalities, who contacted a small group of humans as early as 1911, bringing through the actual Urantia papers in 1934 and 1935, with the book being published in 1955.
- The continuation of those papers first being published as The Cosmic Family, Volume 1 in 1993 and continuing with several additional volumes, known as the Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation.
So, the Fifth Epochal Revelation is brand-spanking-new compared to the Bible. The Bible contains books of prophecy, and prophecies are what will happen to human beings based upon their right or wrong choices. It is my hope that most of the prophecies written in the Old Testament and in the Book of Revelation in the New Testament will not come to pass, because it involves the deaths of millions of human beings.
But in order for that not to happen, the majority of human beings have to make major changes and come to God in a higher way, not just attending church or any other religious gathering on Sundays or going to meetings. Spirituality is a change in human nature, in your human nature.
The URANTIA Book calls our world Urantia, as well as planet 606 of Satania. I think we are at the end of what Christians refer to as the seven-year tribulation, which I and others believe started September 23, 2017 when the sign of the Virgin appeared in the stars (something out of man's hands), announcing the coming of the First Stage of Light and Life, or also called The New Millennium.
Every right or wrong choice we make results in us drawing closer or farther away from the Universal Father of all of us. Basically we either live in the Kingdom of God or we live in the kingdom of the devil, also called Caligastia in The URANTIA Book and The Cosmic Family
volumes.
Every planet that is inhabited with mortals has scripture, much of it similar to what we have on Earth, because truth is truth, from the lowest evolutionary world (like our planet Earth/Urantia) to the highest of worlds in time and space. The Universal Father has given us these scriptures, some written by humans and some written by celestial beings, for sharing truth to lower evolutionary beings of those worlds.
The Universal Father also gives us commandments, codes of morality and ethics, which, if followed, bring happiness to our lives and manifest things we need for our sustenance and career, to meet our destinies that God has designed for us. A destiny is something that Caligastia (the devil) tries very hard to keep us from realizing or believing in.
At this time, January 2024, planet 606 of Satania, Urantia/Earth, is at the very end of an age and the beginning of a new one. This will be an age where there will be no more grace for those who do not obey the commandments of the Universal Father. “Instant karma” seems to be already occurring for disobeying any of God’s commandments, deviating from the universal laws of God. And as we come closer to the return of the Promised One (who Christianity calls Jesus Christ and Urantia Book readers call Christ Michael), every right or wrong decision we make leads us closer to eternal life or to death. Everything is culminating, even now.
Children are being more disrespectful and disobedient with their parents. Some are even slandering and scapegoating their own parents or relatives who are trying to follow, to the best of their abilities, the God of all of us. Those who do not want to follow God’s commandments often resort to bearing false witness against parents, relatives, and friends who are trying to live within the universal laws of God.
Others pick a scapegoat and blame the scapegoat for their choices to turn from God’s ways—a parent perhaps, another relative, even a friend, or teacher. It’s the “Somebody Done Me Wrong” song. Many make promises they do not keep, even if it’s to a job or career, or a religious vow, or a doctor who takes The Hippocratic Oath.
Statespersons take oaths of service to their constituents. The President takes an oath to the people of the country they serve. Priests and nuns take vows of religious service to their parishioners and congregations. Policemen and military personnel take vows of service to the people of their country, and on, and on, even down to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
But unfortunately, the U.S. today has lost the meaning of what honor is, because many of these vows are broken and to so many nothing is sacred any more. Even marriage vows mean nothing, and the sanctity and sacredness of marriage has become a joke. And to be celibate before marriage is looked upon as foolish and jive or naive.
But this is the time of the return of God’s commandments being implemented on this planet. And the disobeying of these laws will end. Those who choose not to obey the laws of God will be moved on, usually through death, to another world for rehabilitation. Those who choose to convert and follow God’s way will go into what is called the First Stage of Light and Life and begin to live in peace and happiness with all humankind, living in the Kingdom of God on Earth.
This is the time of resolve. Jesus said, in Luke 8:17, “For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.”
So this is a time, in the culmination of all things, to ask forgiveness for those you have hurt, to pay back that which you have stolen or caused those you persecuted to lose money or other valuable assets. It’s payback time. It’s owning up time, and time to fess up, time to confess. It’s a time of renewing your vows, because when you took those vows you not only were talking to your brothers and sisters, you were talking to God.
Perhaps you are saying to yourself, oh, well the vow you took was never legitimate in the first place and you have reasons that you broke your vow. OK, this may be true in certain situations, and when you stand before Christ you can plead your case. But let’s hope you have a true plea to make, because if not, you will be judged for breaking your vow.
This is a time of realizing we do have a true Judge, who will decide who is right and wrong. And that Judge is coming back to this earth. It’s the Judge who was crucified by His own creation 2,000 years ago, who died but resurrected three days later. And they said, even then, “Oh, He didn’t resurrect.” And they are still saying that today. But those of us who believe He did resurrect, also believe His words when He said, “I will return, and these are the signs of My second coming.” And those who study the signs of His return know without any doubt that this is the time.
If it be the rapture that will take true believers away in a twinkling of an eye or His second coming to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, it doesn’t matter, because those of us who choose to live a life of goodness and purity and obedience to His commandments are safe in the hand of our Creator. And we know where we are going and who our God is. But we cannot make up a God to fit our own desires, for there is only one true God and that is the God of love, peace, and justice, and everything that is beautiful.
